November 24 - 27: Iguazu Falls

One flight and a 16 hour bus ride later, we found ourselves in the steamy jungle on the border between Argentina and Brazil, home to the Iguazu Falls. With 270 falls spanning 1,600 meters wide, Iguazus falls are officially the largest in the world. According to Wikipedia, upon seeing IguaƧu, the United States' First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed "Poor Niagara!". Although we had to fight through the masses of tourists and school groups a bit to see them, these falls were truly remarkable.

We ended up with an extra day to kill before our bus was leaving for the Brazillian coast, which we happily spent lazing by the pool at our hostel.... A great transition point from the mountains to the beach.
